How ready is your business to appear in AI answers?
What does my business need before ChatGPT or another AI assistant can confidently recommend it?
AI visibility is not one setting. An engine needs to reach your pages, understand the business, find evidence that supports the claims, and connect all of it to the questions buyers ask.
Check the eight signals you already have. The scorecard shows the first gaps to address, without pretending that a checklist can guarantee a recommendation.
How this is calculated:
The scorecard covers four layers: technical access, clear information, credible evidence and measurement.
Each checked signal counts once. The score is intentionally simple because a missing foundation can matter more than several small optimizations.
Unchecked signals are returned as priorities in the same order: access and clarity first, then proof, outside evidence and measurement.
Everything runs in your browser. Nothing is stored and no email is required.
Questions people ask about this tool:
Does a high score mean AI will recommend my business?
No. It means the basic evidence an answer engine could use is present. Recommendations also depend on the question, geography, competition, outside sources and the engine's current retrieval system.
Which signal should I fix first?
Technical access and service clarity come first. More articles cannot help an engine that cannot read the page or work out exactly what the company sells.
Do third-party mentions matter?
Yes. Your own website explains your position; independent sources help corroborate it. Relevant associations, directories, publications and partners are usually stronger evidence than mass listings.
How should AI leads be measured?
Keep observed AI referrals separate from a visitor who says they found you through ChatGPT. Both are useful, but they are different evidence and should remain separate in reporting.
